Jailbreaking

Jailbreaking
What is Jailbreaking?
Jailbreaking is a way to get your device out of “Jail.” When you receive your device apple puts your device “In jail” by putting restrictions on you Idevice. What jailbreaking does is it downloads or copies software on your device and it takes away the restrictions. It also installs a new app called cydia. Cydia takes apps that have been rejected by apple and puts it in their app store. (The new apps changes how the device works for example you can make it an android.)You can even add your own sources and get more cydia apps.

Is Jailbreaking free?
Yes! Jailbreaking is a free (no hidden cost) software. All you need is an Idevice, computer, internet, iTunes cable and permission to download software. (The items above cost money but if you are reading this you should have all of the items.)
Is Jailbreaking legal?
As of July 26, 2010 the U.S copyright office has approved that jailbreaking is legal. Even though apple does not want people to jailbreak; it does not violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. However if you download installous (a jailbreak app where you can get free apps like plants vs. zombies) and download all of the app store’s paid apps, it is illegal.
Is Jailbreaking Safe?
Jailbreaking is safe as long as you don’t delete any cydia software. (It usually gives a warning.)Sometimes if it is a tethered jailbreak, you will not be able to shut on and off your Idevice. (To fix it download Rocky Raccoon.) Also sometimes apps might not work but other than that, everything is safe.
